What is SAMURAI-JUKU?
In 1998, Hisayuki Kuribayashi, who had been joining the activity of Guardian Angels Japan since its foundation, went to New York in order to join the activity of Guardian Angels there. During the activity, he was aware of the necessity of volunteer activity for prevention of crimes, and as a Black Belt Master of karate, he began to pursue the harmonization of the idea@of Guardian Angels and the spirit of Budo, which we are proud of in the world. Thus, after his return to Japan, SAMURAI-JUKU, the original martial arts team of Guardian Angels Japan, was founded. Now, Hisayuki Kuribayashi is the leader of SAMURAI-JUKU.

Our Activities
In SAMURAI-JUKU, we usually practice karate. We think that "What one enjoys one will do well". We always communicate with each other and practice in the reasonable way that even just a beginner can enjoy and also become strong.
We have many exchange program between other martial organizations and sometimes practice together with special guests from other organizations.
There are many members of this team who joined the matches and got the prizes.
Not only the practice but also doing patrols and joining events are our activities. In order to get higher rank of karate, members have to finish the same task as members of patrol teams, or to get a certificate of life saving skill.

Join us now!
Just as the same as Guardian Angels Japan in general, everyone who fulfills all of the following requirements can join us in Guardian Angels Japan, regardless of age, sex, school career or job.

  1. not under 16 years old in age
  2. doing some work or student
  3. have no records of serious crimes
  4. not a member of any organizations which aim at destroying society

After joining our martial practices for 5 times, you can join us by a brief examination.


Cost

  1. Admission fee: €1,000.-
  2. Annual fee of Guardian Angels Japan: €3,000.-
    (As SAMURAI-JUKU is a team of Guardian Angels Japan, all the members of SAMURAI-JUKU are also members is GAJ.)
  3. Monthly fee of SAMURAI-JUKU: €2,000.-
    (If you have a rank or if you are a student, €1,000.-)
  4. Sports insurance annual fee: €1,500.-
  5. Karate-Gi (Karate Wear) at SAMURAI-JUKU: €10,000.-
  6. Elbow protect, knee protect, etc.: each member shall buy herself/himself.
    (When we use charged facilities, we must pay the charge additionally.)
